Community Netball Fun Festival
The Community Netball Fun Festival is a free, one-day celebration bringing together our players, schools, whānau, and volunteers for a day of positive vibes and great netball.
Whether your team is taking the court or your child wants to pick up a bib for the very first time, there’s something for everyone.
Event Details
Cost: 100% free for all teams and individuals
Date & Location: Saturday 5th September 2026, Newlands College netball courts
Who it’s for: Registered teams, beginners, supporters, and the wider community
What’s Happening on the Day
Years 5–8 Tournament: Structured pool play leading into finals for our registered school and club teams.
Have-a-Go Fun Court: An informal court running throughout the day for tamariki to try netball, shoot hoops, and see what the game is all about in a fun, relaxed setting. The court is proudly hosted by Senior A players, giving younger kids a fantastic chance to get inspired.
Off-Court Fun & Spot Prizes: Informal games, positive vibes, and spot prizes given out across the day.

Individuals & Whānau: No registration needed for the Fun Court—just turn up on the day, have a go, and enjoy the action!
